Astrojelly privacy information

Birth details and chart results

Astrojelly calculates charts in your browser. Birth dates, birth times, entered coordinates and chart results are not submitted by the calculator to our server. No calculator account is needed. Choosing Download saves an illustrated report to your device. You can also print or save a PDF. Astrojelly does not receive the report file.

City and broader place searches

The regular city directory is loaded from this website. A broader place search sends the country and the place name you type to Astrojelly so matching locations can be found. Do not enter a home address or personal information in the place search. This lookup does not include your birth date, birth time or chart results.

Broader queries may be cached on the server for up to one day. A temporary identifier derived from your IP address limits repeated requests. Public geographic records are sourced from GeoNames; a country archive may be downloaded when its broader directory is first requested. Your individual birth details are not sent to GeoNames by this calculator.

Website visits and security

Our hosting provider, WordPress and website security tools may process technical access records, including IP address, requested page, browser information and access time, to deliver and protect the site. Hosting and security-log retention depends on the service configuration. WordPress uses cookies for signed-in administrators.

Your theme preference

Your light or dark appearance choice is stored on this device as astrojelly-theme. Calculator birth details and chart results are not saved in local storage by Astrojelly. Closing the page removes active form data from this calculator; your browser may have its own history or autofill settings.

Advertising and analytics

Astrojelly uses optional Google Analytics only after you choose Allow analytics. It measures page visits and general site engagement using cookies such as _ga. Google processes technical information such as browser and device information and may derive approximate location from connection data. Names, gender, birth dates, birth times, entered places, coordinates and chart results are not included in our analytics events. URL query strings are excluded from our page views. Choose No thanks to browse without Analytics, or use Analytics preferences at the bottom of any page to change your choice. Your preference is stored locally as astrojelly-analytics-consent. Astrojelly does not currently load AdSense ads.

External links and your choices

Links to source documentation and other websites have their own privacy policies. The astronomy library and artwork used on our pages are served from Astrojelly. Clear your inputs when finished, delete downloaded files you no longer want, and use your browser settings to clear local site data.
