Scorpio Season 2026: Start Date, End Date & Birth Chart Guide

By Astrojelly · Updated October 12, 2026 · Tropical zodiac

Scorpio season is approaching, and the internet is reaching for its mysterious soundtrack. You can enjoy the mood without believing that one zodiac season needs to rewrite your whole personality. Let’s give the cosmic jelly a clear calendar and a little breathing room.

In the tropical zodiac, Scorpio season 2026 begins October 23 and ends when the Sun enters Sagittarius on November 22 in UTC. Those are sky-event dates, not a promise that every Scorpio will have the same birthday story.

When does Scorpio season start in 2026?

The Sun enters tropical Scorpio on October 23, 2026. The Astrolis October calendar lists the ingress at about 5:37 AM US Eastern daylight time, or 09:37 UTC.

An ingress is a crossing into a zodiac sign. Scorpio occupies a thirty-degree segment in the tropical system, and the season begins when the Sun reaches its starting boundary.

This is more precise than copying a birthday-range graphic. Such graphics are handy introductions, but they do not calculate the exact Sun position for someone born close to a sign change.

When does Scorpio season end in 2026?

The season ends with the Sun’s entry into Sagittarius on November 22. The Astrolis November calendar gives approximately 2:23 AM US Eastern standard time, or 07:23 UTC.

BoundaryUTC referenceNew York time
Scorpio season beginsOctober 23, about 09:37October 23, about 5:37 AM EDT
Sagittarius season beginsNovember 22, about 07:23November 22, about 2:23 AM EST

Notice the change from EDT to EST between the two boundaries. A single fixed Eastern offset would not work for both dates. In Los Angeles, the ending boundary falls around 11:23 PM PST on November 21. For another city, use its historical clock rules.

Is November 22 a Scorpio or Sagittarius birthday?

It depends on the year, moment and timezone. For a 2026 birth near the November 22 boundary, the actual local time matters. A date alone can leave you on either side of the crossing.

Imagine two births in New York on that date, one before the early-morning ingress and another after it. Their Sun signs can differ even though both records say November 22. The date is shared; the instant is different.

Enter the recorded local time and actual birthplace into the free Sun sign calculator. Do not substitute your current city or convert to UTC yourself unless a tool specifically asks for UTC.

If the time is unknown, keep that uncertainty visible. Near a boundary, a noon reference cannot establish the exact birth sign. A neat label is less useful than an honest limit.

What does Scorpio season mean in astrology?

Scorpio is often associated with depth, privacy, persistence and trust in Western astrological symbolism. During its season, people may use those themes as prompts for reflection.

You could ask what deserves focused attention, where you need a clearer boundary or how you respond when something important changes. These questions are invitations, not instructions from the Sun.

The season does not scientifically establish that secrets will be revealed, relationships will end or your life will transform. A symbolic theme can be interesting without becoming an explanation for every event in your week.

Keep the language flexible. “What am I ready to understand better?” makes room for experience. “Something dramatic must happen because it is Scorpio season” makes a prediction the calendar cannot support.

Scorpio season and your Sun, Moon and rising signs

Your Sun sign describes the Sun’s zodiac position at birth. Your Moon sign describes the Moon’s position. Your rising sign comes from the eastern horizon at your birth time and place.

The current Sun moving through Scorpio does not turn every person into a Scorpio Sun, Moon or rising sign. Your natal chart is a birth-sky snapshot; the seasonal sky is a different snapshot.

If you have Scorpio placements, you might enjoy learning their traditional symbolism. If you do not, you can still explore the season’s questions. Neither situation supplies a guaranteed forecast.

Our Sun, Moon and rising guide explains the big three without squeezing an entire person into three labels.

How to find Scorpio in your birth chart

  1. Open Astrojelly’s free birth chart generator.
  2. Enter your birth date, recorded local time and actual city.
  3. Choose Western tropical to match this seasonal guide.
  4. Generate your chart and examine the wheel alongside its placement table.
  5. Look for planets in Scorpio and read their signs and degrees.

With a reliable birth time, you can also examine the whole-sign houses. A planet, sign and house contribute different pieces to a traditional interpretation. The beginner chart-reading guide shows how to keep them separate.

If the time is unknown, Astrojelly omits the ascendant and houses. You can explore a partial chart without pretending it contains those missing details. Read the unknown-time guide before interpreting a reference chart.

A whole-sign house example

Imagine a chart with a reliable Taurus rising sign. In whole-sign houses, Taurus is house one, Gemini is house two and Scorpio is house seven. In a Leo rising chart, Scorpio is house four. The same zodiac sign therefore occupies different house positions in different charts.

This is a counting example, not a prediction about relationships or home life. First identify the calculated rising sign, then follow the sign order. Do not use this shortcut if the birth time is unknown or the chart uses another house system.

On a small screen, use the placement table alongside the wheel. A symbol’s appearance or color is not a stronger piece of evidence than the calculated sign and house labels. Clear settings make the comparison easier.

Why does a Vedic calendar show different season dates?

Tropical and sidereal astrology use different zodiac reference systems. A tropical Scorpio season follows the Sun’s passage through tropical Scorpio. A sidereal calendar uses a different boundary and can label the same sky position differently.

That difference is not resolved by copying one label into the other system. Keep the zodiac setting with your result, particularly when comparing websites or discussing a sign crossing.

Astrojelly labels its sidereal option as an approximation. It should not be presented as a certified professional ephemeris calculation. The methods page explains the calculation choices and limits.

The astronomical constellation Scorpius is another concept. Constellations are not identical to the twelve equal tropical sign segments. A constellation map and an astrology sign calendar therefore answer different questions.

Other October 2026 events to keep separate

Mercury turns retrograde on October 24, shortly after this tropical season begins. Venus is already in its retrograde cycle, and the October full Moon follows on October 26 in UTC.

Those events can share calendar space without becoming one single prediction. The Sun’s sign, a planet’s motion and a Moon phase are different measurements.

Choose the question you want answered, then choose the matching tool. That approach is more useful than opening five charts and hoping they all describe the same thing.

A gentle Scorpio season journal

Try one question per week. What deserves my full attention? What am I keeping private because I value it? Which boundary would help me feel clearer? What can change without becoming a dramatic reinvention?

Use an everyday example. Perhaps you want to give a creative project twenty uninterrupted minutes, or tell a friend which plans you can realistically manage. Small, honest choices count.

You do not need a perfect ritual or an expensive object to participate. Your notebook, a quiet moment and a question you care about are enough. If a prompt does not fit your experience, leave it and choose another.

Scorpio season 2026 FAQs

Does Scorpio season always begin on October 23?

Do not treat a general date range as an exact rule for every year and timezone. Check the year-specific ingress when the boundary matters.

When is the last day of Scorpio season?

The 2026 season continues until the November 22 Sagittarius ingress. The final full civil day depends on your location and how a calendar presents the boundary.

Am I two Sun signs if I was born on a cusp?

A calculated Sun longitude belongs to one sign in the selected zodiac system. If the time is missing near a boundary, uncertainty is possible; that is different from the Sun occupying two signs.

Does having no Scorpio planets mean the season is irrelevant?

You can use the symbolic questions without claiming a personal transit effect. Your interests do not need permission from a chart placement.

Can the season predict relationship compatibility?

No. A seasonal Sun position does not establish whether two people will have a successful relationship. Consider their actual behavior and shared expectations.

Let Scorpio season be an invitation to look a little closer, not a demand to become more mysterious. Your cosmic story has room for depth, clear dates and a wonderfully ordinary cup of tea.
